I feel like Ghost has been so weirdly undervalued in the league. The fact the Flyers had to pay Arizona to take him was so weird.

classic canes pickup. likewise I was surprised by how he was negative value at the end of his Philly tenure. Guy can definitely put up points, and I don't think he's any worse defensively than a Zadorov for example

OK but are they going to acquire anyone actually good? It's an arms race out there and they're tweaking.

A bargain for a very offensively talented d-man. They have enough defensive players, but they need a little more creativity on their back end. Great move.

3rd in 4 drafts away.
Canes still have their 2024 and 25 3rd.
I think the price for d-men has dropped significantly.

2nd best defensive team behind Boston, and we all know how much defense matters in the playoffs. Top 10 offensive team that just added a pretty good offensive weapon. They're legitimate so long as their goaltending tandem continues to get the job done. The nice thing about their goalies is that they're pretty interchangeable, so if one doesn't do well the other can pick up the slack seamlessly.
I really like their chances if they play their structured defensive game.
