Default January 12 with eleven games!

Let us crank it up with the Thursday OOT. There are eight games with
western conference teams playing that are in playoff contention.

Delia is in net for the Canucks. They had a 1-0 lead, but, the Lightning have just tied it up on a power play goal.

Askarov gets the start for Nashville. A whole year younger than Wolf with exactly 0 AHL goaltender of the year awards under his belt and a sparkling .905 sv% in the AHL this year.

Nashville clearly tanking.

Tanev's goal has the Kraken up 1-0 in Biston! The Kraken stopped the Panthers home ice winning streak last season, can they do it again?

All Canadian teams are playing this evening, except for the Oilers.

The Canucks have tied it up at 2-2.

That will be an impressive win for Kraken if they pull it out. Impressive job that Francis has done down there.

I keep waiting for the Kraken to fall down to earth and now they are a period away from beating Boston in Boston.

Yeah I think we can forget about the idea of Seattle falling off at some point. They are clearly a quality team.

Jones is working on the shutout, 26 saves so far with five minutes left in regulation time! Still 2-0 Kraken.

Might have been a dumpster diamond, but he has worked out for the Kraken.

I am very angry at the NHL blackout policy. I live in Utah. 13 hours drive from Vegas, 10 hours from Denver, yet, whenever the Blackhawks play either of those teams, I am stuck without access. It is both irritating and off-putting.

As far as the 'Hawks/Avs, the stinking tank continues, as the 'Hawks put Kane on the IR, for what looked like a minor injury. Of course, being the NHL standard, all injury reports are purposefully vague. This one is a "lower body injury", and could be anything from an ouchie-boo-boo-cracked-toenail, to a completely smashed pelvis. The cynic in me will assign it to chancres (which it is probably not).

Well, I guess I am going to watch your guys play the hated Blues...but am still seething that I can't watch the team I have a major interest in.

Phew! Habs beat Preds 4-3 in regulation.

Meanwhile, the defending champs are trailing in Chicago. On track to lose their 7th of 8.

Losing Kadri, Landeskog, Nichusken, Burakovsky, their starting goaltender would do that. And Mackinnon missing time with injuries too.

A very well-deserved night for PK Subban in Montreal. One of the kindest humans to play in the NHL.
