So if we have the balls (which I doubt), we run with Vladar and bring up Wolf. What is the return on moving Markstrom if he has indeed "turned the corner"?

The goaltending situation is interesting with Vladar being extended two seasons. I think Wolf would be fine playing another season in the AHL but he's already kind of proven that he's one of the best in that league already and I don't know why you would keep him there another two seasons until Vladar's contract expires.

Markstrom would have to have a pretty seriously bad rest of season / playoffs for them to consider moving on and that point who is taking on his deal? He's had a rough start of the season, looks better of late and hopefully thats a trend that keeps going to the off season.

TL;DR - He isn't going anywhere anytime soon

As for Kylington, he also isn't going anywhere but they are rapidly getting to a point where player & team need to make a decision

Earliest is this offseason he may be traded if Vladar shows he can handle a heavy lifting in April and May. Other that that I can't see any change until 2025-2026 season.

keep two good goalies and see how Wolf does if there is an injury. Pencilling in a rookie to step into a major role without any runway is setting them up to fail.

Not at all, if Markstrom finds his game then Sutter will ride him like never before. The backup will see little to no action. May as well be Wolf sitting on his butt.
