Calgary at Los Angeles

McLellan said there are a handful of teams in the NHL that win games consistently and another group that can't string together wins.

"And then there's a whole group of teams in the middle of the pack that are all trying to figure it out," he said. "We'd probably be in the middle if you compare us to the rest of the league. We're hoping for growth and getting better."

LA has a stupid logo and ugly jerseys. Go back to the Gretzky era or go full lakers colours retro. What a bunch of clowns.

I have a lot less issue with an 8:30 start when I do not have to get up for work the next day. Really hoping the Flames can finish strong before the holiday break.

We're not in San Jose anymore Toto. Tough test tonight. But given the Flames play of late one I'm genuinely excited to see play out.

I’m not religious. But I’m praying they show up ready to play tonight. As well as don’t let the first shot in or take a penalty in OT.

simple to the point no confusion

I hated the 90's move to black and silver for sports teams.

Hell, Banger Brook changed their colours while I was there from Green and Gold to Black and Silver.

So, are you starting Markstrom here and have Vladar start against the inferior opponent tomorrow?

Just checked the standings, the Flames, Kraken, Kings, and Oilers are only within 5 points of each other, so these intra-division games are important.

BTW, Flames have just 1 more regulation loss than Vegas, but the OT record is dismal. Only if they can get a couple of shootout wins and not taking dumb penalties during OT...

They won the cup twice with these uniforms so they likely are their forever unis now that they are quasi historical.

This will be much tougher than the San Jose games. LA is a pretty solid team this year.

Flames are also 9-4-1 vs the West, hopefully a trend that continues

LA is about equally as bad defensively as San Jose is but are much much better at scoring goals. I expect that there will be a lot of goals scored tonight both ways.

Yeah please no 6-5 final again. That last matchup was torture.

Huge game tonight. If they can pull it off and secure a 3-1-0 (at worst) record that includes a win over LA I’ll be very happy. Much rather go 3-1 beating LA than 3-1 beating Anaheim.

as long as it's not a 9-8 game like the one that got cal petersen waived

those games are embarrassing for both side because of the amount of leads surrendered

I would hope that we can prevent a little better than we were a month ago
