Default 5G, home computer, data

My Telus contract is coming up...so with a robust data plan, is it actually possible to run everything off of a 5G phone tether with reasonable speed? Just me in the house, I am not a big data user at all and in my opinion TV content sucks. If I could HDMI from computer to TV to watch what I want when I want it's all good. Could even dedicate my old HP notebook to the TV, it's just sitting around.

Anecdotal, but there was a period of a 3-4 days in 2020 when my internet was out and I exclusively tethered my PC to my phone for internet.

That was on 4G (~70 mbps average speed) and it was fine for light media consumption - browsing, youtube, emails, and Netflix.

If you can get reliable 5G speeds, it should be fine to run a house on. However, some phones won't let you use your phone as a phone while its in tether mode.
