Don't do this often at all. Not like a fine cheese. Go Flames Go.

Sounded yesterday like Markstrom was going to get the start. This will be a very interesting game to watch. Something you usually don't say about the Wild on a Wednesday.

Can Markstrom return to form? Will the Flames play a sloppy game like the one against Arizona? Can Fleury continue his dominance over the Flames?

I would hope it's Vladar. The schedule sets up a rotation going forward, but after tonight:

MIN (Vladar)

CBJ, TOR B2B (Vladar, Markstrom)

MTL (Vladar)

VAN (Markstrom)

STL (Vladar)

SJS, SJS (Vladar, Markstrom)

LAK, ANA B2B (Vladar, Markstrom)

EDM, SEA B2B (Vladar, Markstrom)

Then see where we're at after these 12 games

That's how I would run it, but I am not the coach.

Enoch, I like it — but optimistically I feel starting Marky vs the Oinkers, can help him break out of his rut.

That was the toughest one of the splits for me - do you go with Markstrom or Vladar against EDM? A good case can be made either way

If Markstrom starts to turn it around, or looks like he is, don't put him in against the Oilers. Keep him in a good head space. He doesn't need to slay that dragon yet.

Don't disagree with your logic, but this is the last time the teams play in the regular season.

I'd say that's a perfect reason to not start him. If he gets lit up, that's going to be his freshest memory heading into a potential playoff showdown with the Greasers.

Let him build confidence elsewhere during the regular season and have him feeling ready for redemption come playoff time.

I don't think there is a single right or wrong answer to this one.

Not starting Marky allows that seed out doubt to remain floating around in his head until the playoffs.

Or you start him, he puts up a bagel and wins the Vezina and the Conn Smythe.

Or you start him, the Oilers light him up and he gets waived LAK styles.

At the end of the day it's up to Sutter. Thankfully he will have Marky's next couple starts to inform his decision.

Wild are good and can score. Flames better not show up late. Hopefully Vladar starts. Give Marky another couple days rest for one of the b2b's. Go Flames!

Minnesota on a Tuesday in the winter has become a meme.

Thanks NHL for ruining a good meme and putting this game on a Wednesday.

Wednesday night hockey where the Flames and Oilers are the only Canadian teams in action. Flames game starts 90min before the Oilers and both games broadcast nationally. Surprised the Oilers are not getting the 8pm Wednesday puck drop we sometimes see in Calgary
