Stuck Tongue

Quote:
How many times have our mothers warned us about licking a metal pole in cold weather?

Apparently five-year-old Donovan Godthjaelpsen, a kindergarten student at Queen Elizabeth School, just wanted to see for himself what might happen.

Have to admit, i always wanted to "see what would happen" as well. (Just not with my own tongue.

I'd love to see the stat of how many times this happens each year...
(you can do it yourself by licking a really cold icecube as well)

I never had the urge.

I remember being really young and accidentally sticking my tongue onto my jacket zipper when it was really cold. It got stuck and tore a bit of skin.

I guess it's good that I had that learning experience.

Hmmm, his name is Donovan, he has a flames scarf, and he was freed from an unfortunate situation... It's an omen! Shean Donovan with the hattrick tonight! Either that or he's getting traded.

There are pics? I'm going to pass. I once tricked a friend into doing that. The recess teacher had to pour her coffee on his tongue to un stick it. Ripped flesh vs burnt tongue. I'll take the burn.
For some reason, he didn't really like me after that day.

edit spelling

really? I thought everyone who has lived in this sort of climate has done it at LEAST once. I certainly have...multiple times (these things fade with memory). Never really understood why...it just happens. Stupid curiosity.

Thats what I was thinking.. how the hell does that make the news. That must happen at least 3 or 4 times a year at every elementary in the city and probably at all the high schools in edmonton too

Godthjaelpsen. Imagine going through life with a handle like that.
