A long, long time if you ask me. These ideas have been around for decades, but the biggest issue has always been selling the idea. It's one thing to have these idea's, but who will invest in it? Who will buy these? And for the first company that invests in it (in this case, Honda) they have to deal with the first generation "bugs" that come with being on the cutting edge as something like robotics. An idea like this is simply a tough sell... investing in it is a huge risk, and there's tons of problems. It's hard to find a market that can buy that. It's expensive, and really, its not needed. And well, hell... I'd rather have a hot secretary then a robot seretary.
BTW Fozzie... did you get my email?
