Default Local Xmas gift ideas

Hi all,

My company has given our employees a choice of Xmas gifts from local businesses and I'm writing to see if there are any merchants out there that we could/should be endorsing?

We have used local breweries/restaurants/florists/clothing stores in the past and I'm looking for recommendations for places that have options in the $100-$200 range per person (that number could be reached by bundling a few items).

We're really looking to help out businesses here in town that could use the bump after the last couple of years.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

subscribed - I am also interested to hear about local ideas, we do this at my company as well - last year it was a mixture of brewery, coffee roasters, and grocery cards - but something more personal would be cool

I'll throw my own name in the ring here.

As most know - I am a local artisan that builds cutting, carving and charcuterie boards. I have a bunch in stock at the moment as I just launched my Winter Collection.

link in sig below.

Thanks for any consideration.

Check out the BeLocal network at www.belocal.org for some local businesses that also believe in sustainable community. I think there are now over 450 members.

I think most of these are local places, give you a good varied list to look through.

How about prepaid Tax Returns? I'm local...I can just imagine people unwrapping that gift on Christmas morning...a prepaid Tax Return...even a Red Rider BB Gun cant compete with that!

Although as someone who has bought some of suferguy's work, I'd recommend surferguy.

They'll probably appreciate that more than tax returns.

They shouldnt! But they will!

There is a very nice gift shop in the old King Edward School that has been converted to cultural events. All artists are local.

The school is located in Marda Loop, 1740 30 Ave SW
