a 10kg bird is really tough, that normally needs a special order, 6 to 8kg are easy though, I'd cook two 6 kg, carve one in the kitchen and bring the other one out as the trophy bird to show the guests your roasting prowess

I got a free turkey from superstore a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea how big it is(oddly enough it’s not indicated on the packaging) though my guess is it’s probably a little smaller than what you’re looking but I won’t need it this year so if you want it send me a pm

Cooking two smaller birds really isn't much more work then one. Our Thanksgiving guest list exploded, and I ended doing two birds. We have a standard sized smaller oven, and they fit in nicely.
Two small birds may even be easier than the one, as they are easier to carry and move.

First, lol at your tag.
Second, the Co-Op in DeerRun/Ridge had a bunch of fresh turkeys. Maybe not 20lbs, but very close. Bad news, the one price tag I looked at - $98. Oofta.

best deal at Costco right now is they have extra large roasting pans for 36 bucks, these are commercial size, fit the whole oven tray and will take two medium birds easy.
Nordic Ware Extra Large Oven Crisp Baking Pan – 53.3 cm × 40.3 cm (21 in. × 15.9 in.)

We started doing 2 ~5kg smaller turkeys, similar price, cooks faster, white meat stays moister by the time the bones are cooked.

Just a quick heads up, managed to find a 18lb bird defrosted at costco today, they seem to have some larger birds, granted I'm in Vancouver but it might be worth a look, I would assume their supplies are for western canada

Success! Found a good quantity of fresh Winter's Turkeys at Shawnessy Co-op. Lots of larger birds available there. Found a 20lb easily enough.
Thanks everyone.

I saw some 7-9 kg fresh turkeys last night at Lakeview IGA. The larger sizes should be close to that 20lb size you're looking for.
