- Islanders run the show in the third and force overtime

Really didn't like Kadri's turnover that led to the 3rd goal

DeSimone played fairly well, I thought - shame his turnover in the 3rd ended up in the net

Also thought Mackey was better tonight.

Overall, it was a really strong effort and, once again, they deserved better (and there's the problem)

We outplayed them badly. Keep it up and it will be fine

Huberdeau started really well but I didn’t notice him after he pinched his arm on that hit

Agreed on all three.

DeSimone was moving the puck effectively all night, and although it was his first game he seemed to calm Mackey down.

I've thought Kadri's game has been sliding of late. He's scored a few goals to keep the good start narrative going, but more turnovers, blown coverage. Not dog piling on the guy but he's part of that core that has sputtered.
