I live in the neighbourhood but not close enough to the school. I see HS kids parking along Canterbury Drive beside the condo buildings all the time. Alternatively, if she doesn't mind a 10 min walk, she could park on Canfield Crescent, again beside the condo buildings (don't want to park outside someone's home) or beside the Enmax station.

When I went to Scarlett there was a huge student parking lot. Albeit that was 30 years ago lol. Don’t they have that anymore?

They have the student parking lot but she didn't have a car in June when the draw for passes happened and she works right after school so can't wait for that lot to leave.
Just thought of reaching out here to see if anyone wasn't using a pass we/She could buy. closer to the school as they just recently changed the 2hr parking near school to permit only
Swift, I'll tell her about that side of Elbow (Canfield Crescent), Thanks

What about Southwood? There doesn't appear to be any parking restrictions there and it's a quick walk across the overpass over Anderson (assuming it's still there) and into the back door of the school (assuming they still keep that open in the morning).

Not sure if you knew this but visitor parking permits are fully electronic, and it's a bit cumbersome to buy and sell. The days of paper hang tags are long gone.
- Visitor plates have to be entered into the app by the registered homeowner, and need to be re-entered every 2 weeks
- Registered cars of the owners require their registration to be sent in to the CPA to be listed as a permanent vehicle on the app. The registration must match the address.
So unfortunately, what you're looking for can only be done with a bit effort.

Oh, I wasn't aware of this. Thanks for the information, sounds like too much hassle for someone then

It's still there. I'm assuming you have to pay now and/or it's too small.
But you can't sneak out the southeast exit along the old Dairy Queen to get out like it was when you and I went there.

My daughter parked in Southwood on a side street by the bridge that goes over Anderson Rd- never had any issues

It’s pretty ridiculous to have permit parking for residents around a high school. It’s counter cyclic to when residents need parking. What kind of Nimbys screwed that up.

If you know of anyone to approach let me know. The pool isn’t permitted parking? Ideally she could get a lifeguard there instead of crossing city after school to seton Y but she has to get swim instructor cert yet. Only has NL

From the NIMBY perspective it's not a screw-up at all, it works perfectly: they get exclusive use of the street for parking, to the exclusion of everyone else, even when they don't really need it. This is precisely why I support charging people for residential parking permits.
