Default Oilers 3 Flames 2

Oilers 3 Flames 2

- Five on five the Flames were money on the night
- But that wasn't enough, as Calgary surrenders two third period goals
- Markstrom misses a rim and McDavid ties it up

Good write up but

Quote:
A second period powerplay goal to tie the game up, and then a third period game winner to completely change the complexion of the fame, Hyman clearly has the Flames number.

An own goal by Hanifin and a lucky bounce off of his foot where his only contribution was being in the right place at the right time for a fluke - 2 goals, neither of which went in directly off of his stick…

I suppose I have to assume that was tongue in cheek

I feel like the first line is coming. They are getting chances, Huberdeau just missed that one that is a tap-in, Lindholm had that one bottom of circles (which last year was guaranteed back of the net). Feels like they are less in their zone now and more on the attack.

The only thing that worries me about the second line is that Dube is streaky. Not break them up worried just more of they seemed so much like dogs on a bone at the start and now have slid. Again nothing I am worried about too much just something my eyes are noticing.

I felt like Backlund was a little off at the start but after his goal was much more engaged.

The 4th line is so good when they get the puck in the corners and just grind teams. Really impressed by them and their ability to control it in the o-zone.

Sucks losing to the Oilers but its only one game and Markstrom made a few big saves so not too worried about that. Felt it took some time for the team to settle down after it was 2-2, was a little scrambly for a bit. They seemed to right it briefly then the 3-2 goal.
