Sharks can't be any worse than they were Sunday night so Flames will have to be on top of their game. It's a game they need to win especially with the Sharks missing Hertl.

Didn't catch much of the last game. What happened to Zadorov?

I think he took a puck on the wrist.

Best guess he blocked a shot, with his wrist and or arm
He left the ice, holding his arm after the whistle and went to the dressing room

I see Chris Tanev was placed on injury reserve
I am curious if the Flames, recall another defenseman for today's game.
No clue if Gilbert or Zadorov are healthy

Taking a while to get to 5000

If its Reimer in net, he seems to play the Flames well. Other than that, this is a should win. No jinx.

Lucic and not Phillips on line 2?
This is going to be an entertaining GDT
Just go and repeat Sunday (minus Lindholm being slashed in the throat)
Go Flames Go!

Unless someone is sick or hurt I’m not sure why they are shuffling the lines again. I thought they worked well last game.
Our D lineup should be interesting. I hope Zadorov isn’t out.

Really excited to see this one. Huberdeau and Kadri together unlocks a lot of new line-up options. I hope they stick with the lines from practice.

That would be incredibly disappointing. Nothing exciting about a top 9 forward on the 4th line and a barely nhler on the 2nd line left wing.

I don't think so. Really like the Mang-Backs-Coleman line back together. Really liked Dube-Lindholm-Toff last game. I also though Huberdeau and Kadri looked eons better together last game than early in the season. Lots to be excited about... if you want to be.

You left out thr reason for the groans. The lines are fine until you spot Lucic on the 2nd line.
Hopefully the go back to normal lines from last game or if they insisting on reuniting the Coleman Backlund Mangiapane trio you can insert Ruzicka or Phillips on the wing with Kadri.

Some people will always have something to complain about or some reason not to enjoy themselves. I’m also interested to see how the lines click. Should be fun!

Would not be surprised to see 7 d again with a call-up announced today. Role 3 lines most of the game with rotating wingers on the Huberdeau line (Lucic, lewis, Ruzicka). Give those 3 the odd shift together. The practice lines make sense if you look at it through that lens.

I understood the decision to not dress Phillips against St Louis - they are a big, physical team that plays a certain way, and Sutter likely wanted a heavy lineup against them.
However, San Jose is probably the other end of the spectrum, and likely one of the best opportunities to get a guy like Phillips into the lineup. Looking at the lines, as he had them in practice yesterday, inserting Phillips (or Ruzicka) onto Kadri's line seems so easy and obvious.

Singularly focusing on one player and stating because of that there is "nothing exciting about the top 9" is where you drove the car over the cliff.
Does Lucic ideally belong in the top 6? no. However, I am curious to see it. I think that line needed some net front presence and physicality. Creating extra room for Kadri and Huberdeau to work can only be a good thing.
