Question Move Wranglers content to FOI during playoffs?

I think this is a good idea, to keep conversation Flames-centric (since I'm not really interested in butting heads with the resident Oiler fans every day). And since their playoffs will be highly relevant to the team next season with all the recent NHL graduates playing out the year on the Wranglers on what should be a deep run.

Hopefully it also helps drive more discussion around the new local team.

I'd love it, hope they get big crowds. Great team, great coach, great fans.

Disagree moving the content here. We have a whole forum just for them, and the FOI will get cluttered.

Does FOI really get cluttered?
If people aren't interested they don't have to click on it.
I've always been confused by people who are worried about too many threads.

Basically implying a single Wranglers playoffs thread. Or perhaps a series thread for each round type of thing (as we do for NHL playoff series). Wouldn't clutter the forum.

Back Burner doesn't generate nearly as much traffic. I'd like to drive more discussion around the team and help them fill the dome to the brim, since CP is great for generating interest locally.

Let's definitely have at least 1 dedicated Wranglers playoff thread here.

It's a busy forum so threads continually get bumped to the 2nd page daily. Then people forget they exist and don't post in them. Not a huge deal either way.

I'd like to see if we can sticky the NHL playoff threads, and unsticky them as the series ends.

Totally agree, nothing wrong with having a dedicated Wranglers playoff thread. Most people do not visit the back burner and this would help bring attention to the Wranglers and our top prospects

Agreed with having a thread here. Not sure we need GDT’s and PGT’s for every game but one dedicated thread couldn’t hurt.

I know there’s a Wranglers forum but that gets little traffic.

wranglers

I was planning on starting one once the playoff picture was finalized, if someone else didn't beat me to it.

If people don't want to post to it, it'll just fall off the page.

Totally agree, most people don't bother going to the back burner forum, having it front and centre here instead is an easy way to promote it and encourage more participation

I don't frequent the Back Burner channel, but I plan to now that the Wranglers are the only game in town.

From a data archiving perspective, Wranglers content should be kept in their own forum. It makes searching through threads and posts (sometimes years later) a lot easier when you can restrict the search parameters to one channel.
