Would have been a great add for the Flames, even at a "Flames premium" number. An asset that you would flip at the trade deadline this year or next for a draft pick/prospect haul.

Flames need to be looking for as many of those those kind of signings as they can.

Too bad, would have also liked to see him here. One of the last guys that could maybe slot into 1st line if needed that didn't break the bank. Our hands have been tied with the Johnny/Tkachuk fiasco, the Mang contract all season .all that's left for us is going to be slotting 35 fourth liners to fill spots

I actually thought he was either going back to Carolina or Calgary would have nabbed him (assuming the plan is to not tear it down). He would have been a great fit here. I think he will be a great fit in Nashville too.

There was some noise around the potential for a deal involving JT Miller and Dante Fabbro, also. When you have a goalie like Saros and a 32 year old Norris candidate, might as well shoot for the moon I guess.

Great deal for the Preds. Here's a player who's big and fast, willing to go to the dirty areas, and his advanced stats are exemplary. I wanted him on the flames.
