Tampa cementing their core for the foreseeable future, can’t blame them.

locking up core players a year before they hit free agency? What a weird concept.

But Mikael Backlund is too expensive to be a 3C!

Coleman UFA-money doesn't look that bad compared to these Tampa-signings.

This is too much by half. Terrible contract

Won’t matter tho, they’ll find a way

Easier to keep players when you are in Florida plus have had playoff success

It seems like a lot of money for what is effectively a really elite 3rd line center.

Per Cap Friendly, Tampa is at -6.8m cap space. Should be interesting to see how they’re going to cheat their way out of this bind.

Tampa could teach the league a thing or two when it comes to managing cap. Few do it better.

I mean he's a 3rd liner center on a team that has gone to the cup finals three times in a row. Easily could play on their second line too, this guy is a beast and just 24 years old. The deal is going to be great down the road.

They’re okay for cap this year with Seabrook’s LTIR, but when these new signings kick in next year something has to give.

They'll just acquire all the deadcap hits with LTIR players. I hope they end up double the cap.

That loophole needs to be closed. It’s a joke.

you don't acquire cap space by acquiring LTIR contracts.
