They have been trying to move him for a while. Mercer made Zacha expendable

I'm beginning to wonder just how much money Johnny gets on the open market. Sounds like there will be at least three very serious bidders for his services.

Why? I had my Heavy Jack jersey with #13 before Gaudreau was even drafted by the Flames; taking my number back actually.

I mean, now that Flames are not in the running, I hope another team totally overpays for Johnny.

Calgary should have been in on Zacha. Good player that would have helped move the team forward.

He's a lazy player. He's got a lot of talent, but no jam.

Would Zacha really be all that thought of if he didn't go 6th overall?
25 years old, hasn't really been much more than a 0.5 point per game guy.
Doesn't seem like he'll be much more than that. I would be surprised if he lands much more than a 2nd round pick.

He's going to sign with the Devils for exactly that reported amount.
The timing of that tweet and when he told the Flames he was leaving is too close.

Could be but I am still betting on Philly given how close the arena is to where he grew up and his wife's family is there. I think I read it is like a 20 minute drive to where the Flyers play whereas it is a 2 hour drive to Newark.

Wasnt Haula a UFA signing that lingered way into the summer last year?
