no idea what the Sens are doing. They are getting way ahead of their window.
EDIT: 7 and 39, wow.

Good for Ottawa. 7th and 39th......interesting. I think it's worth it. DeBrincat is 24 and almost a PPG player.

Taking a while to get to 5000

If the Sens hit on all the trades they're rumored to be in they will finish the weekend with Giroux, Debrincat, Dvorak & Anderson.

Sens are gonna make the POs if they find a goalie.

Still not convinced that Ottawa is particularly good, but they are better. Good trade by them.

lol the Flames need more small guys in their top 6 and I'd rather take the 2nd overall.
I like the trade for the Sens, I am too lazy to look but I bet Debrincat is better than most 7th overalls

Sens win that deal easily. 7th overall in a weak draft for a proven 40 goal scorer who is just 24 years old.

A major steal for the Sens. Chicago in full rebuild mode. How long until Toews and Kane go?

This is a good trade for ottawa. There is not a strong chance that the player picked 7th this year is ever as good as Cat, and Ottawa doesn't need to worry about cap hits at the moment.

Sens with the robbery. Hawks probably could’ve gotten a package for #2 overall. Yeesh

Getting a guy who has averaged 36 goals and 33 assists for every 82 games played in his career and is 24 years old for two first rounders and a third is a hell of a deal for the Sens.

Debrincat's only 24. He will be right in the middle of his prime assuming a 4 year window. Same age as Batherson, 2 older than Tkachuk, one younger than Chabot.
They need a good goalie and some of their young D to make the team. I expect them to target D in the draft.
