Default Saddledome Washrooms

Hi all,

I’m taking my grandpa to the game tonight (woohoo go flames go!) but he’s older so needs to use the washroom a bit more frequently.

We are sitting in section 205, I was wondering if anyone knew of any washrooms close where he won’t miss the entire period because he has to go. I was thinking potentially press level washrooms?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, just want to make sure he doesn’t miss half the game standing in line! Thanks CP!!!

At the bottom of the stairs closest to your section they set up a bunch of porta potties through the doors going outside. Wasn't busy at all.

The issue with the washrooms in the Saddledome is that the most obvious washrooms are the smallest. Press Level is often good, but being a sellout you may not find the extra hike is worth it. The washrooms under the concourse are good. There's often a bit of a line to get in, but it moves well. The key there, once inside move all the way to the back.

They should put in those circular urinals.

The washrooms in the concourse behind the nets are much bigger than the one's on the sides of the ice and therefore less busy. There is often a line, but it moves really fast. I shouldn't be a problem to be in and out in 5 mins or less.

Yes, definitely the washrooms at each end behind the goalies. And go during commercial breaks as opposed to intermission

You can immediately get up for the washroom at the end of the period and barely make it back for the start of the next. Throw in a concession stop and forget it, you're missing some of the game.

^^ Timing is certainly key. I have a saying- you have time to do two things during the intermission. If the start of the intermission is when you are deciding what to do- consider that to be one of your "two things."

The other thing is that there is often better from a timing perspective to hit the concession first, and then go to the washroom. However from a practicality standpoint; this often doesn't work depending on what you are buying.

It's dumb that the bigger bathrooms have only a single entrance and the smaller ones have 2 entrances.

Its also dumb that they could put in 50 porta potties outside yet they only bring in 8 of them.

Also they're pitch black inside, not sure how someone hasn't figured that out yet.

Agreed, but its kinda fun knowing that the single entrance ones are so much larger. I always laugh inside at the folks lined up at the ones that have two entrances as I am certain most of them figure its bigger. Its like the Stampede/Flames set that up as an inside joke.

In the new saddle dome they will have lots of washrooms all close to where people sit……

Of course by then we will have evolved as a species to a point where we recycle our own waste

Toilets instead of stadium seats for each person. We can take care of our business while never leaving our seats. Add in in-seat service for food and beverage and life will be pretty sweet.

It wasn't originally that way but when the renovated the building in 1995, they divided the men's rooms in the corners to add more women's space. That's why there are double-entrance Women's rooms on the other end of those sections and a small single-entrance Women's room at the opposite end of the Men's rooms.

It's too bad they couldn't have found another way to add more room for Women, or at least reconfigure the entrance/exits so they'd flow better.

People didn’t go to the bathroom back then so there was no way to plan ahead for the 21st century.
