Cheers to you for saying that. Pass me a big dish of crow as well, I have been on Michael Backlund all year, he is a huge reason why we win this series and a key player for us.

He’s been a different player this year. All drive, no quit. He made that whole OT winner happen. But he was ridiculously good all game

Pay the man his money.! Johnny stepped up and stepped up in a big way. Guy couldn't keep the giant smile off his face after he scored and still had it on his face during the interview.

I never gave up on Johnny. I knew how special he was and that we’d regret trading him. He’s officially cemented himself as one of the greatest Flames with that winner

I honestly didn't believe he had this in him. I'm happy to be very very wrong.

Back up the truck.

Dude has answered the last remaining question.

I honestly didn’t think he could ever get it done in the playoffs either. Best series of his career

I was instantly intrigued when we drafted him, and his old usjhl coach came on the fan and raved about him, saying that he's special, and going to play in the NHL. Then watching him in the development camp and you could instantly see how special he was. to see him come this far... he truly has the heart of a champion in him.

I wanted him gone after 2019. Watching him tear up the league this year made me glad I wasn't the GM, but I still wasn't 100% sold on him until he carried that same type of play into the playoffs. He did, I'm sold, give him whatever the hell he wants to stay in Calgary

I definitely have been over Backlund for the past few seasons. But this playoffs, he's redeemed himself in my books. Guy is a skater when it counts.
