He was quoted in like 98 saying Hitler has some good ideas, but went too far or something like that.

Former NHL star Bobby Hull told a Russian newspaper that Nazis were not without merit, that the black population of the United States was growing too fast, and that genetic breeding was a worthy idea.
``Hitler, for example, had some good ideas. He just went a little bit too far,″ the Hall of Fame player told the English-language Moscow Times.

Met him in Lethbridge as a kid at a sports card show where he was signing autographs in 1990 or 91.He handshake was unlike anything I have experienced before it since. It was incredibly strong but felt completely unforced. Just like him natural closing his hand was enough to make my eyeballs pop. He was also very friendly I asked about his son Bart playing football and his eyes lit up and probably talked for a minute or two which is unusual in a pay to sign event where there is a long line. I was so excited to tell my dad (He was a big Hull fan.) and friends all about it. So I was so disappointed as the stories about him kind of piled up.

His hands were freakish. I shook his hand in the dressing room of an old-timers game at the dome. He was the “coach”. Showed up absolutely bombed seconds before they went out for the game. I was young, but I was old enough to catch all the comments the other players were making about him.

It would be a “oh well no loss” situation even if he never mentioned Hitler.

According to two of his wives and his daughter, yes. I believe he held his first wife over a balcony at one point and threatened to drop her to her death.
Same wife he beat with a boot.
