Wow. Agree with you that one would imagine if this was another animal, there would be a lot more damage and pieces missing.

Looks like a rabbit killed by a coyote. We've had a similar happening on our driveway and were able to track it back to 4 am on video. Wasn't pretty.

For sure a coyote. Likely got spooked by a car or something and ran off right after the kill.

Coyotes and foxes kill more than they will eat and come back for it later. A fox for example will kill every hen in a chickencoop given the opportunity, and will only carry off what it needs right then.

I have a hard time believing someone could catch a hare without there being evidence of a trap or bullet wound.

I was wondering if you could chuck it in the green bin, since you throw food waste there, which can also be animal. But nope, black. Probably disease worries?

My old neighbors Bengal cat would routinely bring home squirrels and rabbits

Looks almost exactly like my lawn when a bobcat killed a rabbit. Found the rabbit under the deck later.

My buddy's cat does this nightly to rabbits. Most mornings there is a rabbit head on their front step. He's a stone cold rabbit killer and it appears he does it for sport.

Before you throw the carcass out, don't let it all go to waste. Make some of these and give them to the women in your life. I predict they will go over smashingly.

Ya. We had a cat that did that. Rabbits are prey for Cats. Rabbits are actually really healthy for them . What they eat in the wild . Alot of prememuim brand cat food contains rabbit.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say Calgaryblood's plastic bag has left his bathroom and made its way out into the world.
