Flames If the Playoffs started today

Flames would play Smashville! Battle of the Country and Western capitals.

Nashville would get destroyed so badly the first 3 games, they would forfeit game 4.

Why are the Jackets, Wings and Islanders considered On the Hunt?? They are like 13-20 adrift...

i love these discussions and think they should start at around game 20.

I'd like to see an alternate playoff scenario based on the power rankings.

I hope it looks like this. These would all be good matchups. LA and Vegas needs to happen. Playing Nashville would be fun

For sake of the conversation, I hope our opponent is Nashville or Minnesota. I would also take Edmonton but they aren’t making the playoffs.

We’ve had trouble with Vancouver this year, Dallas is always a tough opponent. Vegas will be 30 million over the cap cheating. I would also take LA or Anahiem.

I went to a game in Nashville against the Flames a few years ago, it was an incredible experience. Highly recommend if anybody has the capacity to make a trip if they do in fact play in the post season.

Vegas isn't winning a series with LA right now.

Because the 8 playoff teams in the east have been set for like a month already and you need to have somebody in that spot.

The lack of parity in the East this year is kind of crazy. 8 teams above a .610 winning percentage, everyone else at or below .500.

I would love Dallas or Anaheim to slay old demons. Mainly because the primary old demon is playing in Tampa now.

Honestly Flames should do the same thing.

I'm sure Monahan and Lucic both have chronic injuiries to shut them down on the trade deadline to be able to add a couple more pieces.

And then bring them back for the playoffs. Flames just tend to be letting our guys play through injury.

Probably why our man games lost to injury have been much lower than most teams all season.

I wouldn't say they have had trouble with Vancouver this year...they lost one game and it was one of those games where everything that could go wrong went wrong....comically so at points.

Flames dominated and won the other game although the score was close. There won't be any easy matchups but Vancouver doesn't scare me. If you can't beat them you aren't winning a cup anyway.

Honestly, as much as seeing Edmonton Miss the playoff would be hilarious after the 15-5 start they had, I’d much rather them make it than Vegas. It’s not just the cap circumvention with Eichel/stone either. It’s the constant rumour of flames interest in players over the years, only for Vegas to swoop in and get them. It’s always bugged me lol.

Eff Vegas, I hope they miss the playoffs

they could both miss...would take Vancouver to pull it off though

If only the Ducks didn't fall off a cliff all 3 missing would be nice...if I had to pick two to miss though it would be Edmonton/Vegas

If the Flames go deep and face Vegas I may actually travel down there.

Haven't yet attended an away Flames game, let alone a huge playoff match.
