I feel like nobody is talking about Winnipeg. And they are silently going to swoop in and take a WC spot.

Over Dallas, who have three games in hand?

I think Nashville and Dallas have the inside track on the WC spots. Their destiny is in their hands.

I mean obviously Dallas has the inside track for the WC spot.. but Winnipeg has been playing a lot of good hockey lately. A win tonight and they are tied with Vegas with the same games played. And everyone is talking about Vegas.

The problem for them is that the pacific slots are not open to them, unlike for Vegas. Edmonton and LA are more ripe for the picking. But Winnipeg has to deal with having to beat one of the significantly better central teams just to get in.

Chances are much better for Vegas because the division is Calgary then a bunch of mediocre. Two pretty different scenarios.

There's a reason why very few teams historically get in if they're below the line this late into the season.

The Bruins are hammering the Devils 7-1 on the second period.

The Penguins Wild are tied 1-1. This should be a good game.

Special teams are helping the Leafs to a 5-3 lead over the Jets.

Without Hellybuck Jets are a bottom 5 team in the NHL. He gets them so many underserved points. When he's not playing their weaknesses are really exposed.

Rakell with a pair, Pens lead 3-1 over Minnesota. Fleury not in against his old team, Talbot with the start.

Ryan Lomberg is on a little bit of a hot streak. Scored a nice goal tonight for six points in his last six games

The Stars are currently tied at 2-2 with the lethargic Ducks late in the third period.

The repeat game had the same team winning by the same final score of 3-2. The only exception is that the Stars won it in overtime. I wonder if the Ducks will win another game this season?

This is not an April Fool's joke. Sebastien Aho scores at nearly the same time in 2 different games.

Damn, the Avs pull out another win as they defeated the Sharks 4-2. It was Kahkonen's first game in net with the Sharks since he was traded. He made 42 saves as the Avs owned the 1st and 3rd periods, the shots were 18-5 for the Avs in the final period. Kadri had 2 assists.

The Panthers beat the Bhawks 4-0, Bobrovsky with the 37 save SHUTOUT. The cats were 3/3 on the PK and 2 goals for Barkov. For the Bhawks, Delia faced 44 shots in the loss and kept the score respecatable.

The Hurricanes defeated the Habs 4-0 with Andersen getting the 32 save SHUTOUT. The Hurricanes fired 26 shots on Allen in the 2nd period and then turned it off in the 3rd period with only 2 shots on net. The Hurricanes were also 3/3 on the PK. The Hurricanes remain tied with the Panthers for top spot in the eastern conf.

Wow, the Bruins scored 6 goals in the 2nd period in their 8-1 thrashing of the Devils. Bergeron with 3 points.
