Heh heh. Commentator in the Pens-Rangers game reminded people that Pittsburgh actually earned the title City of Champions (in the context of 2009 and Sid/Ben).

They earned that moniker in the late 70s and early 80s.

4 Super Bowls in 6 years.

Pirates were also a powerhouse , winning the World Series in ‘79.

Dumba and Kaprizon have the Wild up 2-0 after twenty minutes.

The Bruins scored to make it 6-2. Can they do another miracle comeback in the third period? Let's relive 2013!

The Predators and Wild win to solidify their division placing.

Stars win 3-2...natural stattrick has them with 36 scoring chances...not shots, scoring chances

Oh yeah, the 1979 Pirates come from behind down 3-1 to win it. The rally/theme song for the Pirates season was Sister Sledge's "We are Family."

3 at 2 in regulation

The Ducks find another way to lose and are now winless in 10 games. The Stars scored 2 goals in the 3rd period for their come from behind win despite going 0/3 on the PP. The Stars are now in 8th place in the western conf. Once again, weird scheduling as these teams go at it again in the same rink on Thursday.

3 at 4 in overtime

These two teams have had all 3 games this season decided by one goal. Stamkos scored the GWG on the PP and had 3 points. The Bolts were 3/4 on the PP. The Hurricanes had their back up goalie in net, Raanta.

3 at 2 in regulation

I wonder if the Penguins are wondering if they should avoid the Rangers for the 1st round of the playoffs as they have lost to them twice in the past 4 days.
