Yeah, of all the days the Flames had to trade who had been the best player in their franchise, they had to pick the day that I was born. I still remember them winning the game that night against Colorado in spite of the fact that Alex Tanguay pretty much spent the whole game crying aloud.
Maybe guys like Tkachuck and Gaudreau can pass him on the all time scoring list one day. Iginla never had 99 point season, and Johnny's in line for his second one. Even Tkachuck is flirting with a 100 point season which would be awesome.
But having been a teen ager who was a Flames fan who also watched nearly every Kamloops Blazers home game in the early to mid 90's, Iginla will always be a favorite Flame of mine. Even if trading him was the right move, it was always disappointing it happend on this day. To bad Hanowski, and Agostino were freaking terrible...than again the Bruins offered garbage too. Stupid Feaster.
