When will playoff schedule be released?
As an out of towner looking to buy tickets, it's tough to grab any when the dates aren't released yet. Are they waiting until everything's done on Friday?
Thanks for the help, my googling and forum searching has come up empty.

It hasn’t been officially confirmed but all signs point to game 1 and 2 being on Tuesday May 3rd and Thursday May 5th

Any reason you're thinking Tuesday/Thursday rather then Monday/Wednesday? Or I suppose it could be either.

Maybe just because Thursday would be a better sell than Wednesday with Mon/Tues being a wash? Either option gives the other team a Fri or Sat.

Hmm - assuming a 'standard' setup we often see in 1st round and a Tue start day, we're looking at the following potentially.
1 - Tue 3rd H
2 - Thur H
3 - Sat A
4 - Mon A
5 - Wed H
6 - Fri A
7 - Sun H
I wouldn't hate if they did something crazy and deferred our start to Thursday.....would give us a Sat at home and the following Friday at home.....man can dream

Feels like the Flames haven't a home playoff game since 2004.
Edit: Errr, Avs game 2 and 5.... I erased those from my memory.

We beat Vancouver in 2015! Blasphemy to forget beating the Canucks.

They have been saying it on the FAN
Toronto and Edmonton get the opening night. Sutter has eluded to getting an extra day rest as well so I think Tuesday looks to be the day.
Opens up game 3 to be Saturday night

Was in Vegas that night (woooo!)... But i did look through the history books and the Flames did not have a lot of weekend home playoffs games since 2004.

Best live sporting event I have ever been to. Paid $500 for my ticket (that came with booze and food) and went from worst money spent (3-0 Nucks early) to the best money ever spent (7-4 final score). Unbelievable night

Agreed - it was my first ever playoff game and got me really hooked on attending live games at the Saddledome. Got season tickets soon after and they haven't got out of the first round since - really hoping for something magical to happen this year!

That 2015 playoff game against the Canucks I went home after work on Friday and looked online and seen a single ticket for sale not to far up behind the goalie of the one end for like $250 or something. Decided to get it and left Regina that afternoon. Stayed in the Hat that night. Drove to Calgary Saturday, got to my hotel there, went to the game and who ends up sitting by me but none other than Bret Hart. He was kind of a grouch that night but it was still awesome to be by him. He's my favorite wrestler. Anyways after the Canucks got up 3-0 in the first I was like I just wasted several hundred dollars for this? Then the Flames came back and won the game and series. One of the experiences of my life

Tickets already dropped even without dates. $100 get's you a prime seat in the press level. Yeesh.
I've also already heard reports of season ticket holders being offered seats at nearly 3x the price they paid in the regular season. It's stuff like this that makes me happy this team doesn't have a new building yet.

I heard 960 talking about this too but it will make for a really weird schedule for the oilers and kinds series. Monday/Wednesday/Sunday? Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday would be better.

Ferkland was a monster in that game.
Definitely the best game since 2004

Playoff tickets are expensive. This has always been the case.
Season ticket holder can buy extras but they pay face value. This has also always been the case.

You expect a playoff markup, but 3x regular season pricing for round #1 of the playoffs is a pretty big middle finger to the average fan.
See it however you want to, but you don't need to go to those lengths for the first round of the playoffs when teams are making serious bank every single playoff home game to begin with anyway (with a modest playoff bump).
When you see this it's a stark reminder of how this is purely a business. At times I tend to waver in the whole building debate, but this just says it all an reinforces my stance that the city needs to keep putting the screws to this team if they want any public money.

Playoff tickets to round 1 have not been 3x regular season rates. Correct me if I'm wrong with something definitive, but they are usually closer to double regular season rates in the first round. I've been to some of the more recent playoff games and certainly didn't have to fork over that much for a crummy seat.
