Why would the Hawks trade him? Young, fantastic, cost controlled contract, for his production. Seems a proper piece for rebuilding.

Same reason Chychrun is on the market. The value contract will run out before they are ready to compete so cash out while they can on younger assets that are more in line with the teams timeline to win

Wow, between Florida and Tampa that is going to be a hell of a playoff series, likely second round. If it wasn't Toronto I would feel bad for them. Hopefully it is such a battle they have nothing to give in the final against the Flames.
