Kahkonen sounds too close to Koskinen. No way Edmonton is going for him. Katz will not approve.

Minny also has Jesper Wallstedt in the pipeline. Makes sense if they can turn Kahkonen into a good asset -- he's a pretty good prospect in his own right who will be an RFA after this year.

This would suggest to me that Reimer might be available pending this trade.

SJ? I guess this means the Flames will eventually acquire him at some point.

Only 25 years old and has played pretty decent this season. Surprised the Oilers weren't in on this one. Not exactly sure why the Wild would keep Talbot over him after getting Fleury.

Because Talbot and MAF are better now for a push.

And Wallstedt is their future.

Why would Edmonton need a goaltender now?

not bad for Minny, shore up your goaltending (potentially) and add a depth defenseman.

Minny just got a lot more difficult to play against in the playoffs.

Middleton and Deslaurier + Greenway and Dumba (both were missing in our back-to-back)
Lots of grit and size with a big upgrade in net. Nice moves for them.

Wild pretty well have to go hog wild this year. The Parise/Suter buy out costs go from $4.7m this year to $12.7M next year and then $14.7 the 2 years after that.

Guerin just did not seem to have much faith in him. Exposed him in the ED where he went unclaimed, and sends him out here.
