There's a brand new Alt Hotel in East Village. You could walk to the game from there. I think the rates are very reasonable.

ALT Hotel is probably the best and the easiest. Ask for the “game night package”. They have one that includes parking underground at Riverwalk Parkade, I believe.

Advice: Get an oil can for all that rust.

Inside the building keep in mind Banded Peak has a new craft beer set up over by the Flames store on the East side concourse.
Great beer options including a multi option poutine offering.

Be there before 7:30pm. There might be a large crowd on the visitors warmup end.
Note: No LRT service to the game this weekend

As I'll be traveling in from Lethbridge tomorrow, and the weather is supposed to be utter #### after the game, staying over Saturday night is a definite option. Ideally somewhere to stay DT or in the south end of the city would be great. What spots should I look into? What about for getting to and from the game? What's out there in terms of options?
Thanks in advance.

Try and be at the game by 715ish at the latest. Happy hour runs till 730 so you can grab $5 beers, wine, hi balls, pizza, burgers, and hot dogs

If you don’t get a pocket dog before the game, nachos (two cheese, no salsa) at 1st intermission, and a twisted Malt timed to start the 3rd with whilst procuring a heroin beer or two I’ll be mega disappointed!!
Have fun FC what a game to take in for the first one in years!!!

Yeah, I just received an email that both Stampede LRT stations are closed this weekend for construction. They are running shuttles but might be a good idea to make alternate plans...

Bumping this thread as I have some questions as well. Going to my first game in a few years against the devils and wondering a couple things.
Wondering what time the doors open for one, as I don't want to get there too early or late. Also wondering if concessions open a while before the game starts so we could eat there instead of a restaurant.
My biggest question involves getting to and from the game. Will be staying just off deerfoot and 16 Ave in the ne, so guessing best to take a taxi. Is uber a better option? Also wondering what kind of time frame I should allow to get to the game from there. And after the game are there taxis for hire outside or do you need to call one?
Sorry for all the questions, but any help would be appreciated. TIA

16th to memorial. Memorial to Reconciliation bridge, take fourth a couple blocks and hop out at 9th and 4th. It’s a short walk and it’s really cool to be around Flames jerseys again. Don’t grab a cab right from the building afterwards. It’s actually quicker and cheaper to just walk north Olympic/4th towards 9th, and grab a cab at 9th. From there, you’re back at the hotel in less than 15.

You will find much better food options for far more reasonable prices outside the dome. Something on 17th ave, Mission or even Inglewood wouldn't be a bad bet.

I believe doors open 2 hours before start time. Wednesday's game has an 8:00 start, so it will open at 6.
90 minutes before game time, they have what they call "Happy Hour": https://www.nhl.com/flames/fans/happyhour -- some cheaper food and drink options. It ends right at the start of the warm-ups, so that's a good time to watch warm-ups and/or head to your seats.
Unfortunately, the area you're staying in isn't convenient for the C-Train, so cab or Uber are likely the best bets. I wouldn't take the cab right to the Dome, go to the Casino or somewhere and walk the rest of the way. Same with leaving the game, walk a few blocks and hail a cab driving by, or grab one that's waiting outside the casino. That way, you don't pay to sit in traffic and you'll probably move faster on foot.
There's also always the option of walking to a nearby bar for a couple of drinks after the game and grabbing a cab after post-game traffic has slowed down.
