When the goaltending is on and the team is playing the way the coach wants they can beat anyone. Just goes to show how much of a difference a top head coach makes.

I feel good when most of my opinions line up with Bingo's.
This time regarding Megan Mikkelson and Monahan especially.
Both had strong games, I hope we see more of her. She's miles better than Sarich, Brouwer, Staj, etc.

Counting and advanced stats show this was as close as a game can be. Difference being, Johnny and Markstrom, which is how.you beat the best teams..... when your best players are better than theirs.

The stats might have said that the scoring chances were pretty even, but this was one of those games where the stats are misleading, because the Flames had more of the really dangerous variety (breakaways, two-on-zero, wide open with time right in front, a couple posts, etc.)
You replay that game 20 times and the Flames are winning it WAY more than 10 times.
