Default THG Breaks down the Flames 10 game Streak

Love watching THG videos. Some really good stats that I've overlooked during this streak.

Interesting how he talks about what might happen if the Flames' top line is shut down in the playoffs. I think the more likely scenario is that the opponent's top line gets shut down, given how our top line (and second line) have dominated their matchups.

Well for once I hope someone is wrong with the recency bias that our top line can't deliver when it matters (playoffs).

We have to wait and see I guess but it's definitely time for a refreshing change for the fellas.

This is why Tre went out early to get one more piece for secondary scoring. Now, if Tre can replace Dube with another piece of the secondary scoring before the playoffs, that would be even better.

I think he misses the importance of the comeback in the Dallas game, sort of glossing over that to just give the score.

Like his content though. Good guy

3rd period in Dallas was a turning point.

even though he didn't do a tonne (one good save that I recall) it's neat that Vladar played a role in that, given he's been a bit player in most of this stretch

Even if it isn't scoring, just another top 9 guy would really help. A shutdown player who can score some ugly playoff goals here and there. And is quick.

My only problem with Dube is that he can't seem to keep the puck in the offensive zone. He's fast and kills penalties great, but man, once he gets in the offensive zone, if the puck is near him, it's out of the zone and down the other end. His hands are like stone as well. He's created a bunch of chances with his speed, but misses the net too often. Maybe he's got to relax a bit. If he scores even half of what Mangi is providing, secondary scoring wouldn't be that bad. I guess my expectations is a bit high since he was really promising that one breakout year and he was one of 2 guys that scored in that one playoff round.

I watched that video, and after watching it, I am not sure that this THG guy actually watched any of the games.

Nice hat and jersey in this episode though

Yeah it’s like he wrote down the scores and who scored the game winner. Not much about the games. Tons of CP posters could create something more interesting about the streak.

I've watched a few of THG's videos, mostly Flames ones, and yeah I always get this impression. Seems like a nice guy but I do struggle to understand his popularity a bit.

He basically listed level 1 stats like shots and PP/PK numbers for 14 minutes. It was like watching someone read the newspaper

One of those pregame articles in the GDT was like that too. And then it said “this page has been generated by technology” lol
