Oilers getting another rusty team. Lightning haven’t played in 10 days. So the Oilers either get teams on the second half of back to backs or teams that haven’t played in a week and a half.

The NHL sure sucks at starting games on time. NFL and NBA get all their pregame crap out of the way so the games can start on the hour. MLB states when a first pitch will be and that is when first pitch will be. We have 3 games slated to start at 5:30pm tonight and none of them have started yet. Minor annoyance but it makes no sense to me.

Get the anthems out of the way before the top of the hour. And start the damn game on time!

Completely agree. It's been a pet peeve of mine as well for a while. Especially the 10pm Eastern games! It seems a bit bush league to me.

The Avalanche-Red Wings game started on time due to it being a regional game. The other four are national games and that is why the opening puck drops were late. The Oilers-Lightning game was the last to start because of TNT's doubleheader.
Landeskog scored 72 seconds into the game, 1-0 Colorado.

The league really needs to do something about this McDumb drawing calls by flailing everywhere when a player is near him. Ruining the game.
