Little surprised.

Looked like a young player trying to make a hit, didn't go well and put his arm back to try and get a piece of the guy he essentially missed.

Clearly hit him in the beak with an elbow but I don't think that was his intent.

ADAM RUZICKA #63
Centre, Right Wing
Cap Hit: $801,666
Daily Cap Hit: $4,008

Looks like it lines up with half his daily cap hit.

Nah Sutter got it. It is for reasons like this he saved that $5 off the Ian White contract.

The fine is actually just $2000, but the NHL has a $4.17 service fee for e-transfers.
It's criminal!

Honestly feel like the NHL never misses an opportunity to fine or suspend a Flames player.

Wonder if Evander Kane gets a suspension for his sucker punch on Lemieux...not that different from when Lucic was suspended for his punch.

That was a pretty gnarly elbow. Haven’t seen one like it since Tkachuk/Doughty.

It must be cool to get fined $2000 and not have your heart seize…

Not intentional but a little careless.

The Patrick Kane playbook would be to scrounge up $2004 and than punch George Parros out over the outstanding 17 cents. Maybe this is why they pick a guy like Parros instead of say Ray Whitney to do this job.

I think it was intentional. Maybe not the amount of damage, but yeah, he threw his elbow back well after the play was done. I’m OK with it.

You think that's the worst elbow in like 4 or 5 years or whatever?
