Default Nice Calgary Stock

I've been dealing with this Calgary-based Oil producer recently, and damn, it's been such a nice cashcow for me (poor student). It's called (CLL on the TSX) Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd., and I wish I could shake that CEO's hand. For the past month it's been jumping pretty nicely and this week has been especially kind to me. Tomorrow's another day !

well, I wanna know if anyone else has been having success with this badboy recently?

I am an investment banker and have been part of their syndicate for their last few private placements.

Their spinoff PDP has done well since its IPO as well.

Things have been going well. Especially since I own a little bit of CLL, though I sold half awhile ago to take my initial investment out. That money then went into Bison Resources (BIS.A) which was subsequently bought out a month later. Not sure if I am going to take the Mission shares or take the cash.

My other favorite was Bulldog Resources (BDE.A) which was recently bought out by Crescent Point (though for considerably less then what they were trading at). As soon as the Crescent Point Energy Trust shares show up in trading account I well sell them off and probably put it into the Bulldog Resources Inc (T.BD-the junior spin off from the deal). That would be my pick to look out for, though it has had a big run up since it started trading Monday.

Also my biggest holding is Canadian Natural (CNQ), excellent for the long term hold, especially in a RRSP.

And in non-energy stocks another company I’m in is ONCOLYTICS (ONC). They are a Calgary company researching a cancer “therapeutic/cure” using the REOVIRUS. Been in this one a long time and it has had it’s ups and downs. But I went into it knowing that either it’s going to be a tax write off or make me a whole lot of $$$$$$$$$$.

I've been in since $1.20 but i sold most of it at $3.00. What a great stock. I also have UTS. Pulled back a bit but still making some pretty good bucks.

I have ONC too. Had it off and on back when it first listed in 1999 i think. Got out just before it tanked big time when Pfizer ended their partnership. Still has pretty good potential but with these cancer drug companies, be prepared to lose it all. hehe.

Geez, all of ya'll sound really professional. I just follow one stock at a time and put all my eggs in one basket! You pros have your lines in every pool it looks like! As for UTS, I was following it for awhile, but the stock IIRC is a little pricey for my league ($5+) and the trading volume was a turnoff too since it was so shallow.

lot of shares out at 140 mil which isn't exactly great, looks like it will be good just due to the oil aspects and the price of oil, but don't be surprised if this one drops in the next months or so, although with the way their barrel per day production has been increasing if they keep it up it could be total opposite of what I predicted.
