I sure hope by the time February 9 rolls along that the current Saddledome restrictions have been lifted.
Because that's a lot of games to hold at 50% capacity with no food/drink for people attending...

7 games in thirteen days with a week long break beforehand? Plus, no travel. Could be worse.

Three of the rescheduled games are back-to-backs for the other team, Edmonton gets the second game once (ANA) and Calgary gets it twice (NYI, VGK).

It looks like Vegas and the Islanders actually play in Edmonton the night before. Only the Ducks go to Edmonton after playing here.

Cue more whining from Oilers fans about how the NHL tries to screw them over.

yep, but no mention that even with the new schedule they will still have less backs to backs and more opponents tired while they are rested.

I doubt it but really they have to play...when else are you going to make up all those home games?
NHL really facked things up by giving Calgary a ridiculous schedule to start the season with almost no home games in the first couple months
on Feb 8th the Flames will have played 14 home games lol

Hopefully this Restrictions bull#### is done by Feb. 12th. Strange how the rest of the world can have fun except for Canada.

not to get into it too much but when people actually have to pay for their health care like in the US they do the honorable thing and die at home if they can't afford it. Meanwhile our healthcare system is stressed by people who want to be alive even if they don't have much money.
I hope restrictions are lifted too but not at the cost of lives...its just a game afterall

I generally agree with you except the last point. It’s just a game, yes, but it’s a microcosm of broader societal restrictions that are having horrendous implications on ppls mental health, and in particular kids and young people. Policy has to change soon if not now, and getting back to normal flames games just shakes out of that.

Apologies if this have been covered elsewhere before in other FOI threads, but how does 50% capacity work if the original game was sold to more than 50%? How do they decide who goes and who doesn't go?
