Just flipping through the channels now, but on Global TV right now, looks like they're playing a concert or their DVD...not sure if it's over now at 8:30 or if it goes until 9:00+, but if you get this in time, check it out.

Has anyone got the new box set? I've been a pretty huge Hip fan for a long time (though my interest has steadily dropped with each release since Phantom Power) but Im not sure if its worth dropping 60 bucks on the thing. The greatest hits CDs are nothing so just wondering if the concert or the 'making of' documentary are interesting at all.

You read my mind KG....except I lost interest after Music@Work. HMV.com has it listed at $45 for the 2 DVDs and 2 Greatest Hits CDs, so I'm also curious.

The concert DVD is outstanding. Just straightforward Hip as you remember and love them.

The other DVD has their videos and the documentary's good if you're a fan.

I watched it, it looked pretty good. I am hoping to get the DVD box for Christmas. I guess there are a lot of great songs missing on the CDs though (well a lot of us have all the CDs anyway so it doesn't matter). I think I prefer my homemade Greatest Hips 2-CD set that I have sent a couple copies to American friends in the past to get them sold on the band.

I'm still hoping to see the guys around town here in Kingston. I'm about the only one around here who hasn't seen Bobby Baker in the grocery store in his jogging pants. Oddly, the guy lives in the student ghetto near Queen's. Someone told me the other day that they used to hear him playing around with the same riffs on his guitar while sitting on his front porch, and then on the latest album they showed up in a song.

Oh and one of my profs is a good friend of Gord Sinclair's dad. The high school they all attended is across the street from my faculty's building here.

The box set is actually very good, I got it for $45 at future shop. The DVD with all the videos is cool, and I haven't watched all the extras yet, but there is a lot of stuff to sift through. The book with it has some really cool artwork etc.. I wish there was some more footage of them in their prime (mid 1990's) on the DVD's, but hey, its still decent stuff. Some of the songs on the greatest hits are actually "remixed"..they sound somewhat different from the album versions. For $45, its well worth it.

I believe you can also get the DVD separately as "One Night in Toronto.."

I'm also hoping to get the boxed set for Christmas.
