This road trip can’t end soon enough. Just looking for a good effort and close game tonight on a rough back to back.

I want to see tkachuck take over a game against a good team. I'd like to see if he's got it in him. I like tkachuck a lot but we really need him to be visible between the whistles against great opponents to take the next step.

We used to call Johnny sort of an elite complementary piece. A guy that is very talented but who wouldn’t drive the bus. In fact, that may be more Tkachuk. He is benefitting a lot from his line position, and he certainly contributes, but is he someone who pushes that line, or the team? I can’t say I see it. Though IMO he was better against Florida than in a lot of previous games.

I remember the days when Western teams were the best in the league.

The east is down right scary right now damn.

I can remember last year (or was it the year before?) when Chicago and some other teams
had to take trips east to play Tampa, Florida and Carolina like 7 games in a row as they would play the same team multiple times in a row. Hard enough for a good team like Calgary to play 3 games, but imagine a below average team making that road trip and play 7 games or so. They were lucky to eek out a point LOL.

Positive vibes, people.

Flames take this 5-1 with goals from Lindholm, Backlund, Kylington, Lucic and Monahan.

No doubt that this is the hardest stretch of hockey the Flames have had to play so far. I am just glad that the hardest stretch of hockey doesn't involve bleeding points to rival teams, because boy the Flames have not made a statement.

Who’s playing goal for Carolina these days? Is Anderson still hurt?

I honestly think part of the problem with the team's depth is that I think he's being a bit wasted on that top line, and agree I'd like to see if he can drive his own line.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Coleman
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane
Lucic - Monahan - Dube

That feels like a better balanced top 9 to me

I think they bounce back. I liked some of fire we saw in the Florida games, group shows that they care and are dialled in to try to compete. Ill never critic heart and I really liked Gaudreau standing up for Vladar after the 4th goal when Stamkos skated by saying something to Darth. We may loose but this team won't be walked on again, guys are showing they will stick up for each other. I can get behind that. I say the play for the guy sitting beside them tonight and gut this to a win in a tough environment and opposition.
