I found it interesting that a young Flames fan's face accurately predicted Patrick Maroon's immediate future

2011/2012/2014 drafts haunting the Flames today

Pretty comprehensive win by the lightning, Flames didn’t have it tonight

Tonight showed we really aren't quite on level of a team like the Lightning, but I guess that isn't a shock. Just hoped for a better effort after the game against the Panthers...

Treliving needs to do something with this forward group.

You’re very content with mediocrity it seems

11th best team in the league is good enough for you? Some teams actually expect to be able to beat everyone

The Tale of Two Teams.

Since 2004, Tampa has two Stanley Cups while the Flames have won one playoff round. Look at how Tampa built their team, and just do that - getting that even somewhat right would be multiple times better than what this organization has done in that time span.

I was hoping for a win, because I'm sick and tired of all the knob gobbling on the FAN today about the epic Tampa Bay Lightning. Guess it wasn't in the cards.

I'm not ready to write this team off. That big break especially when your not on the ice is going to take some guys time to get back into the groove. Win tomorrow and were still winning at a .666 clip since back and that would be about as much as we could ask from the team for the rest of the season. Likely would win us the division as well.

Also I liked Gudbranson beating the breaks off Maroon. Stuff like that fires a team up and hopefully they carry that into tomorrow.

1 goal game going into third was probably a fair result at the time, but Flames had a chance.

Kylington's complete lack of awareness or basic defensive instinct on the 2-0 goal killed the hope.

And, IMO, a bad call on Richardson. The guy ducked his head and frame and swiveled his head at the last second and Richardson clipped his nose.

If the Flames really fancy themselves as one of the league's elite teams, they need to make adjustments so they don't get soundly outplayed by these clubs.

I disagree with people saying this team needs better bottom six talent. They need better top six talent, #1C and a #1D mostly. Lindholm doesn't match up to the elite in this league, neither does anyone on the D.

Need guys who can provide more secondary scoring and who don't get (easily) pushed off pucks. Bolts had their way with our guys all night long. Sigh.

Better in the checking department for the first and second periods and the wheels fell off in the third.

Thought the major to Richardson was a bit of a bad call...seemed more of a glancing blow sold by a sharp neck snap-back; but we know how calls and Flames go. So. Not the reason they lost, but it didn't help either.

Darth was good, but he's gotta stop that 4th one. Suspect he was pissed from letting the 3rd in.

Darryl dropping some truth bombs in the post game. The Calgary Flames have no margin for error against a quality team like that.

Well first off we have not played as many games as others so 11th best is not that factual. More importantly, it doesn't matter. The playoffs matter. I am sure TB fans were all like we are #1 3 years ago until a team lower than 11th overall swept them in 4.
