Quote:
The Calgary Flames announce today they have recalled forward Walker Duehr from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Duehr, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has skated in five games for the Stockton Heat this season notching two goals and an assist for three points. The 23-year-old right-shot winger joined the Flames organization on April 11, 2021 when he signed as a college free agent after playing four years at Minnesota State University (Mankato). Duehr finished his college career with 25 goals and 26 assists for 51 points in 102 games.

Nice! Duehr looked like he could have made the team out of camp. I am excited to see what he brings tonight.

Makes sense. He was held out of the Heat’s 4-1 game last night.

Is he even going to be in the lineup? Regardless, glad he's with the team, and that he is getting a bit of a pay bump as a reward for a great camp.

If it was for a spot to actually play, it might have been Ruzicka instead. But Deuhr did have a good camp.

38 ranked by who? Analysts who don’t watch us or the clearly scientific voting on this site? He looked great in pre season and we often complain guys don’t get shots, what if he comes in and looks great do we still suck? Although the cynicism shouldn’t be a surprise

I just hope Brett Ritchie is going to be okay because that didn't look good the way he was KO'd last game.

Our voting. I meant we suck at voting. (In jest)

I dont think the punches are the big issue with Ritchie (they didn't help that's for sure) but he wasn't putting any weight on his right leg after he fell down

I forget, was the poll before or after camp? Because I agree, he looked like a pro in camp. Third line ceiling maybe, but a guy who can skate, hit and contribute the odd goal. Didn't seem like a poor defender either.

I wasn't sure if he fell awkwardly and hurt his leg or if he just had rubber legs from a concussion. I took it from Sutter's remarks that concussion protocol played a part.

I see a lot of stylistic similarity for a Mangiapane-Dube-Deuhr line to Mangiapane-Ryan-Hathaway. That was a great 1st line for us.

Nobody thinks Richardson steps in? Isn't he one of Sutter's boys?

Yeah I’d love to see Mang-Dube-Duehr at some point.
