Hockey was always great to me and it really makes me sad that it's not the same for everyone. It's a great sport and everyone should have a good experience with it.

Makes me sick. Get these creeps out of the game, and when it happens do something about it. It's not hard.

Sadly, the floodgates are likely just opening on this. Hockey culture was (is?) so toxic. I was always a little sad that my kids didn't gravitate towards hockey and play, especially as little kids because I had so much fun as a kid. I only played until I was 12 or so. I'm 44 now and even then I remember parents fighting in the stands, hurling insults at kids and coaches. Then as I got out of it and moved to Ontario, I had buddies on the high school team and other buddies who played varying levels of junior, and the things that were just accepted as part of hockey are really appalling.

The whole mentality of just sweeping things under the rug, or keeping it "in-house" is going to lead to many more of these tings coming out.

sports have media attention, which highlights these cases. This is not just hockey culture - it is happening everywhere

The good that can come from this, is that sports/celebrities' put this in the spotlight, and gets people talking about solutions. Hopefully the problem solving doesn't stop or go away when this falls off the sports page

the more cases come out, the more people will be emboldened to come forward about their own experiences.

This one isn’t entirely brand new, I recalled having seen something a while back. Some developments are new, but the underlying incident was reported on earlier

Agreed. And it needs to stop happening everywhere.
