Let’s keep the good times rolling!

WHY WATCH?
Can the Flames keep the good times rolling? With dub-yas against Detroit Washington and the New York Rangers, the Flames have been productive. In the first two wins, Elias Lindholm and Johnny Gaudreau dominated, netminder Jacob Markstrom pitched a shutout, and bac-up goalie Dan Vladar picked up his first win as a Flame. They needed those victories, especially after losing their first two games of the season. So, this one is intriguing as former Devils forward Blake Coleman returns and Calgary is playing the second game of a back-to-back.
Projected lineups

FLAMES Forwards

Johnny Gaudreau — Elias Lindholm — Matthew Tkachuk

Sutter hockey will really show itself in back to back games. Especially when he demands his players to be in shape and have good fitness.

Other than Vladar probably starting , I hope they don’t change the lineup. I’m worried that they will sit Kylington or valamaki so they can get zadorov back in.

Vladar's interesting because he moves really well for a big goaltender but he overreacts and makes himself small at times. He has potential if he can refine his game.

I am assuming since they are 3-0 at this stage of the trip they give Vlader another start tonight considering they have one more game after this on the trip then a lengthy home stand where Markstrom probably starts every game in that set

Vladar played the Pens twice last season. Wonder if Sutter saves him for a team he has some familiarity

Is anger always the answer????

That Darn Puppet always takes the violent option. Maybe he should go into tonight's game with a new approach and simply enjoy a cold drink with a new acquaintance:

Spoiler!

Go Flames

Don’t expect any major lineup changes other than Vladar starting.

I’m sure Zadorov can’t wait to get back in.!

The Devil's D core is quite interesting, but I'm not sure I like their goaltending

Wouldn’t be opposed to seeing Lord Vladar tonight.

Zadorov shouldn’t see the lineup again until there is a reason to mess with it - like consecutive losses. Even then I’d say bring Stone in for a look first.

You have to wonder how long Zadarov will sit before he becomes a squeaky wheel that needs to be greased....one way or another.

Back to back actually might be an ok excuse to get him in.. If he came in tonight for Valimaki I wouldn't be tooooo pissed as long as Valimaki is right back in..
Who would of thought that Gudbranson would be way better than Zadorov..

I even saw one shift where Gudbranson brought the puck up and dangled a little bit out of the defensive zone..

I think Markstrom might get the start tonight, and this was Sutter's rationale for giving Vladar the Washington game.

I think the team keeps rolling. Probably a little closer but they'll get a 3-2 win. Monahan with the winner.
