Default FLAMES Related news 21 /22 Season

Since main camp opens I thought I'd start a new thread.

Any news yet on Zary? Broken foot? Wondering who will be the fittest Flame?

It was mentioned in the pressor that he should be good to go in a couple days. Hopefully that means no break, just hit in the perfect spot.

Trevor Lewis intrigues me and so I did a little research.

Was watching some YouTube of Trevor Lewis.
In one from a few years back they said for 5 years running he was named unsung hero by his team mates.

His coaches in LA spoke very highly of him and say he never takes a shift off and is always thr last guy off the ice.
At the end of the day he reminds me of Gelinas.

2 guys who may not have always put up huge numbers but played big roles on their teams .

Good. We need an Eliminator 2.0.

Gelinas had a lot more offensive talent than Lewis - not sure he’s the comparable. But it’s clear Sutter likes Lewis.

Ya, Lewis has a career high 26 pts, Gelinas passed 26 pts 13 times and has a high of 68 points. Not even close.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this

The Islanders are going to start the season on a 13 game road trip

Their first home game is Nov 20 at the new UBS arena, and the first opponent is your Calgary Flames

Their new arena looks to have some great ideas in terms of design and functionality
https://ubsarena.com/about-the-arena/

History in the making, the Flames being the first opponent in the new barn.

The live cam is cool. The scoreboard seems to work, so they've got that going for them.

That is Kingpin level for a combover, pretty incredible and I’d say easily best combover in Flames history though I’d never consider this and never knew of the player until this post. Incredible stuff.

That guy looks like he tried to kill Scooby, Shaggy & the gang after the game and would have gotten away with it too....

The 31 thoughts podcast with Tkachuk and Mangiapane is up, if someone is interested. I posted it in the GDT thread, but I think this is a more appropriate thread.

I read on Reddit that there was no supplemental discipline either...
