Good. He's done a hell of a job with this team as he had to correct a lot of issues going back to Gulutzan that kind of sidetracked the core of the team.

This is the one that I think Flames have a realistic chance of winning. Markstrom isn't going to win the Vezina over Shesterkin, and Lindy won't win the Selke over Bergeron.

That’s 3 people now from the Flames organization nominated for top awards. Shows how good this team is and a real good omen. I think Darryl should win this given the history of the team and it’s struggles prior to him coming back as the head coach.

Brunette is kind of an interesting one.
Sutter is the runaway winner on this one though.

Can't wait for his acceptance speech.

Generally I think Brad has done a great job roster building. But the coach selections were enough to get him fired, until he hit a home run with Darryl.

Agree, but I suspect his hands were tied by ownership not wanting to pay marquee coach $.

I think it could be that and/or marquee coaches not wanting to come here.
Including Sutter not willing to come until the timing was right.

Paraphrasing - Jack Adams winner is the Stanley Cup winning coach; runner's up are the coaches of the Stanley Cup and Conference Finalists.
Darryl has already won this award twice, and been runner up 3 times

Sutter should be a lock for this. Taking a non-playoff team to a division championship and a +85 goal differential.
Brunette had tough circumstances no doubt, but he inherited a good team with a winning structure already in place.

Like Bill in NE, Darryl is the best coach every year, no matter who gets the award.

Amazing coach, well deserved. So glad the Flames got him.
