Kraken Seattle signs Vince Dunn (2yrs, $4mil AAV)

Some speculation he could be traded before the season starts.

I am probably way off but he reminds me a lot of Shea Theodore when Vegas acquired him via the expansion draft. Obviously they acquired him via trade but it seems very similar to ms.

Yeah if he's getting traded before the season starts that's something literally every team should be in on. That's very good value.

He had a 38 point pace this year. The Flames could have used a player like him.
Maybe it's not too late.

Puts up points but struggled defensively in extremely sheltered minutes.

I’m surprised Francis didn’t trade him away for a 7th.

lol, this is the opposite of right. His even strength defensive results are in the 90th percentile, but he doesn't put up points except on the power play. He has a shot but doesn't create chances. Basically the perfect 2nd pairing, 2nd PP d-man.

Just going by what St Louis people were saying.

Vince Dunn: F
He wanted the opportunity for a larger role, and his analytics from previous years suggested that he should be able to handle it. But when the chance finally came, he didn’t do well with the extra ice time. In 2019-20, he averaged 16:16 per game (14:43 even strength) and was on for 51 goals for and 32 against at five-on-five. This season, he was bumped up to 19:15 per game (17:29 even strength) and was on for 21 goals for and 28 against.
