I went with the new flavor of the month. Time will tell but it appears he may have more game breaking potential than Pelletier or Zary.

Went with Zary, his stint in the AHL was very impressive for someone under 20

Top 3 are easily Pelletier, Zary, and Coronato, but whatever order people decide is fine by me. Personally, I went with Pelletier because he's one of those glue guys that does it all AND also can score. Teams win with guys like him. Plus, his showing at the World Juniors was really strong.

Should be Connor Zary. Through his performance in the AHL he showed what he does in junior translates to the professional level. One of the few great hopes we have. Recency bias will see Coronato take top spot though.

I don't know if it's that easy. I would have Wolf above Pelletier and Zary.
But I think all four of them are great prospects.

Tough one but went with Pelletier. I love the leadership potential there and enjoyed watching him at the WJHC last year

Nice of you to discredit everyone that doesn't agree with you.
Good start!

48 goals in 51 games is 48 goals in 51 games.
Coronato.

Not that the sample size is big, but because I've seen Zary have success against pros, he's my vote. Seems like he does a lot of little things right that will help drive whichever line he's on.

The argument over Coronotos draft year production is that he was on a stacked team. And stacked was an understatement. But if the Scouching guy is right and you dig a bit deeper he was their primary Catalyst regardless. Pair that with the Unicorn aspect of him being a two position player who played more center as the year went along and is a RHS, pretty clear cut why this player is not only the shiny new toy but also a legit top prospect over the rest of the Flames stable of talent.
I've got Zary after Coronoto.

I have it as:
Zary
Coronato
Pelletier
Zary’s about to get slept on after proving he has what it takes to elevate his game to the league he’s playing in. Wish he got more games in to solidify my take, but I don’t blame anyone going for either one of the other two. Also great prospects.

Jesus Bingo. We see the same thing every year. The first pick from the last draft is almost always our "best prospect" because he is the NKOTB. This isn't discrediting anything. It's a statement on human behavior. Critical thinking rarely applies to popularity contests, and that's all this is, because you set it up that way. No rules to enforce critical thought results in emotional decision making, making the most recent stimulus as the most likely to remembered and chosen.

Jesus Bingo is a lot of pressure. I'm still getting used to Bongo.
You're just going to double down on discrediting anyone that picks Coronato? Good strategy.
"This isn't discrediting"
- critical thinking rarely applies
- no rules to enforce critical thought
- emotional decision making
I'd hate to see you when you mean to insult someone!
Would have taken less words to just say you are smarter than most that are voting.

That IS recency bias in action. That is HOW recency bias actually works.

You've seen it big fella. You know I'm really good at it and can make people cry. You also know I don't do that any more because you asked me not to. If I wanted to insult someone I would just step right up and insult them, but you and Jiri have made me realize there is no use in insulting people. Instead just tell them the truth and argue from the point of truth. Recency bias is not an insult, it is a truthful statement on human behavior.

I'm not. I'm just aware of how these exercises play out. Was required to build and observe many of them in the past. Again, its human nature and extremely predictable. Remember when Eric Nystrom used to get the recency bump and people talked him up as future great player? Exactly.

Pelletier should be a Flame this year. Had there been exhibition games last season he would have likely been close out of camp last year.
However Coronato will likely be NHL ready D+2 like most legit 13th picks overall
