These types of goalies are available every summer and the deals available are always good value.

I like Freddie but he's washed. These last two years he's looked horrible. And all his stats back up the eye test. He has been one of the worst ranked goaltenders these last two years when it comes to goals saved above expected.

I like Raanta a lot. He could be a strong #1 starter if he stays healthy. Very good darkhorse signing. And if he's not healthy, Andersen can play 70 games and still be effective.

Raanta can’t stay healthy though, it isn’t even a question anymore. Only 57 games played since 2018.

Andersen has also been pretty bad for 2 seasons in a row now. I still think just signing Ned was a better and obvious move for them.
