Well that's steep. Glad he stayed there at that pricepoint.

someone suggested signing Armia instead of trading for Pitlick. Armia is better but not $1.65M better

Bottom 6 players really getting paid this offseason. Teams ARE aware the cap is flat right?

It’s stupid to pay that much for a bottom 6

On the other hand, Treliving came up with trash dumpster shopping

How is this steep compared to what the Flames signed Derek Ryan for?

Puts up similar points, is younger, but is big enough to be an effective player in the playoffs.

I guess they think he has more to give them he's shown so far.

Bah, was hoping the Flames would sign Armia. The options for filling in the RW position are diminishing by the day.

I don''t think this is steep at all. I think this is reasonable. He's not far below Hyman, Coleman and Garland in skill level.

Is this what Nick Ritchie is worth on the open market?

And not moving any time soon, and when it does it'll be by $1M increments. Would be surprised if it's not flat next year too.

Why is the Ryan contract (which was an overpay) any kind of gauge?
