I wonder if Dallas can still afford Coleman?

I had heard Dallas because he is building a home in Plano, TX as we speak.

Not a bad AAV. Takes him up to 40, but he still played as an effective top 4 with the Wild.

Good signing - unfortunately, Suter was not an option for us.

There was an article about how Coleman is building a house in Texas, would love to play there (but will go where the money is for now).

This is an excellent deal. Excellent. Absolutely hilarious that the Oilers are paying what they're paying for Keith, and gave up assets to get him, when this was available... I mean even if they paid him 4.5M they'd be SO far ahead.

This was never available to the Oilers, or the Flames

It sure makes the stars better in the next 2 seasons. The deal seems a little long, but it’s a win for both the team and the player.

Aw come on man. Perfect price. Treliving couldn't get Gary's kid to sign? Shame.

That's probably true, Suter probably wanted to stay in the States. But it's still funny by comparison.
If you prefer to laugh at an American team that this WAS available to, how about the Flyers? Wouldn't you rather have Suter for 4x4.5ish than Ristolainen? And not give up your first?

Like Calgary, Oilers have a hard time getting players to go there willingly and for decent money, so when someone actually says they want to go there, the Oilers are in love.
That city and it’s people are the most insecure group in the world, they seek attention and praise like a 5 year old.

They really wanted Risto. They wanted him for years. They were willing to pay top dollar for him.
